All students had a hand in creating this mural as part of Ms. Kate's Visual Art Class this fall. It served as the backdrop for our performances.

The sixth, seventh and eighth graders showed off their drumming skills from Ken Doumbia's class!

Everyone's played a part in making the Mexican Altar. The mural was created by 4th and 5th graders in Breandain Langlois's visual arts class. There are Calaveras de Azúcar (Sugar Skulls), created by students in Ms. Kate's Visual Art class, and flowers and Model Magic offerings created on the day of the event, by all ages. There's also Papel Picado and information about Day of the Dead. For more information about Day of the Dead and altars, click HERE. There are lots of places online to download Papel Picado templates, for the one I used go HERE. To learn more about making Calaveras de Azúcar, click HERE. We cheated, using pre-made Fondit and shaping the skulls overselves.
